description: ZEVASK is a drug that contains amlodipine. Amlodipine is an antihypertensive drug, Calcium Channel Blockers (CCB). This drug is used as a first-line treatment of hypertension and can be used as a sole agent to control blood pressure in most patients. Patients inadequately controlled on a single antihypertensive agent (other than amlodipine) may benefit from the addition of amlodipine, which has been used in combination with a thiazide diuretic, blocker, adrenoceptor blocking agent, or ACE inhibitor. First-line treatment of myocardial ischemia due to either fixed obstruction (stable angina) and/or vasospasm/vasoconstriction (Prinzmetal's or variant angina) or coronary vessels. Can be used if the clinical presentation suggests the possibility of unconfirmed vasospastic/vasoconstriction. As monotherapy or in combination with other antianginal drugs in patients with angina refractory to adequate doses of nitrates and/or blockers. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
