description: Zendalat contains the active substance Nifedipine which is indicated for preventing several types of chest pain (angina). Nifedipine belongs to the class of calcium channel blocker drugs. Nifedipine prevents Ca ions from entering the slow channels of the heart muscle during depolarization, resulting in peripheral and coronary vasodilation. Increases coronary blood flow and causes reflex tachycardia (the heartbeat rhythm works faster than normal), so this drug works by relaxing the blood vessels and blood can flow more easily. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
