description: WEGOVY is a sterile injection preparation containing semaglutide. This injection is used subcutaneously for chronic weight management in adults with obesity (BMI of 30 or greater) or overweight (BMI of 27 or greater) with at least one weight-related condition. Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that acts on the same receptor as the endogenous incretin hormone which works by selectively binding and activating the GLP-1 receptor to increase glucose-dependent insulin secretion, reducing appetite, and slows gastric emptying. how_to_use: Injected subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Instruct patients to use a different injection site each week when injecting in the same area of the body. Visually inspect Wegovy before use. It should appear clear and colorless. Do not use Wegovy if particles and color are visible. Wegovy is administered once weekly, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals.

Warning: Before using for the first time:

Store in the refrigerator (2C - 8C).
Do not freeze or place next to frozen storage compartment.
Store the pen in the outer cardboard packaging to protect from light.

After opening and using:
The pen can be stored for up to 28 days under room temperature (25C).
Do not return the pen to the refrigerator and do not freeze it.
Do not store the pen with the needle attached.
Keep away from direct light heat. Always put the pen cover on when you are not using it to protect from light.
