description: VROXIL is a drug containing Cefadroxil. Cefadroxil is an antibiotic from the Cephalosporin class. This antibiotic works by binding to 1 or more penicillin binding proteins (PBPs) which in turn block the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in the bacterial cell wall, thereby inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis and restraining cell wall assembly which results in bacterial lysis. This antibiotic is used to treat respiratory, urinary and genital tract infections as well as skin and soft tissue infections. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. Potentially Fatal: Pseudomembranous colitis.
