description: UNISIA TABLET is a combination antihypertensive drug containing Candesartan which is included in the Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB) group and Amlodipine which is included in the Calcium Channel Blockers (CCB) group which is useful for lowering blood pressure. Candesartan works by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors in body tissues. This results in widening of the blood vessels so that blood flow becomes smooth and blood pressure decreases. Amlodipine works by blocking calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells in the walls of the heart's blood vessels, resulting in a decrease in strength and heart rate, which in turn results in a decrease in blood pressure. When using this medicine, you MUST ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
