description: Triatec is a medicinal preparation containing the active substance ramipril. Ramipril is commonly used to help treat hypertension. Triatec functions to help prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems caused by high blood pressure. This drug can also help treat heart failure in patients who have had a heart attack. The ramipril content is able to relax blood vessels. so blood flows more easily. Side effects that may occur when using the drug are:
Kidney and electrolyte balance disorders, anaphylactoid reactions.
CV and nervous disorders, respiratory tract, GI disorders, skin disorders, blood profile disorders (severe decrease in hemoglobin, red blood cells or platelets).
Rare: muscle cramps, angioneurotic edema, decreased libido, loss of appetite, impaired smell and taste, severe skin reactions, severe changes in blood profile.

Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION. Monitor kidney function, especially in the first week of therapy, monitor serum K and white blood cells. Patients with hyperstimulation of the renin-angiotensin system, severe malignant hypertension, heart failure, left ventricular outflow disturbances, pre-therapy with diuretics, patients with fluid or salt deficiencies. Liver or kidney disorders, patients who have received a kidney transplant. Decreased BP includes symptoms where the head feels lightheaded, dizzy. Angioneurotic edema, including of the tongue, glottis or larynx. May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy category: Category D: Proven risk to the fetus. However, drugs can still be used if drugs are needed to treat life-threatening conditions, or serious illnesses, where safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective.
