description: TORDEX 25 MG TABLET is a drug containing Dexketoprofen trometamol 36.9 mg which is equivalent to Dexketoprofen 25 mg. Dexketoprofen trometamol is the trometamol salt of S(+)-2-[3-benzoylphenyl] propionic acid, is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic drug which includes NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). The mechanism of action is the same as other NSAIDs, namely reducing prostaglandin synthesis and inhibiting the cyclooxygenase pathway. Specifically, there is inhibition of the transformation of arachidonic acid into cyclic endoperoxides, PGG2, PGH2, which produces prostaglandins PGE, PGE2, PGF2a, and PGD2, as well as prostacyclin PGI2, and thromboxane. Furthermore, inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis can affect other inflammatory mediators. This drug is used as a mild to moderate pain reliever such as acute musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, toothache and post-operative pain.
