Tetracyclin is an antibiotic that is bacteriostatic. This drug works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis in its ribosomes. Tetracycline can cause stunted bone growth. In teeth, tetracycline can cause dysgenesis, permanent discoloration, and a tendency to caries. Therefore, the tetracycline group should not be given to pregnant and breastfeeding women and also to children < 8 years old. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
