If this medication is used to treat impetigo contagiosa (boils), clean the crust first before applying to the skin to allow maximum contact. Do not use for long-term treatment.
This drug can cause the skin to be more sensitive to sunlight, making it more likely to burn. Use this medication only on infected areas (not on large areas), and avoid direct contact with sunlight.
