description: SANDEPRIL contains Maprotiline HCL 50 mg which has a Broad Spectrum Antidepressant which is effective in treating depression with or without insomnia. Maprotiline has a high sedation effect and can replace benzodiazepines in treating addiction. In small doses, Sandepril can be used for functional dyspepsia, and the side effects are milder than Amitriptiline. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.

side_effects: Frequent: Mild CNS reactions & anticholinergic reactions.
Occasional: Sinus tachycardia, postural hypotension, nausea, weight gain, allergic skin reactions.
Rare: Confusion, hallucinations, seizures, cardiac arrhythmia.
Very rare: Cardiac conduction disorders, allergic alveolitis, hepatitis, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia.
Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION.
This medicine should be given with caution to:
- Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, difficulty urinating or a history of increased intra-ocular pressure.
- In patients with heart disease including a history of myocardial infarction.
- In elderly patients, administration of Maprotiline must be done with caution and under the supervision of a doctor.
- Risk of suicide. Schizophrenia, cyclic affective disorder.
- It is best to monitor heart function and, if necessary, monitor with an ECG.
- It is recommended not to drive or operate machinery.
Pregnancy Category:
