description: ROSUFER contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin, an anti-cholesterol statin. This drug is used for primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa including familial heterozygotes) or mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb) as adjunct therapy if diet and exercise efforts are insufficient. When using this medicine, you MUST ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. Side effects that may occur when using the drug are: headache, dizziness, constipation, nausea, stomach ache, myalgia, weakness.

Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION.
Excessive alcohol consumption and/or a history of liver disease, secondary hypercholesterolemia caused by hypothyroidism or nephrotic syndrome. Perform liver function tests before therapy and 3 months later. Patients should be advised to immediately report any complaints of unexplained muscle pain, weakness or muscle cramps, especially if accompanied by fever or symptoms of feeling unwell. Monitor for increased creatinine kinase levels. Patients with shared predisposing factors with gembrozil. Doses above 40 mg are contraindicated for use with fibrates. Advanced age > 70 years.

Drugs are used with caution if the benefits obtained outweigh the risks to the fetus. Research on animal tests shows risks to the fetus and there has been no direct research on pregnant women.
