how_to_use: Can be given with or without food: Can be given with food to reduce GI discomfort. Do not give with antacids, Fe, or dairy products. Give it lots of drinking water.
side_effects: GI disorders, pseudomembranous colitis (rare), CNS disorders, skin reactions/hypersensitivity. Transient increase in BUN & serum creatinine, renal failure, crystalluria, nephritis, arthralgia, myalgia, eosinophilia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, transient increase in liver enzymes (especially in patients with a history of liver damage).
Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION.
CNS disorders; impaired kidney function; excessive dose. Therapy should be discontinued if a skin rash or other hypersensitivity reaction occurs. Avoid excessive exposure to light. In long-term use, kidney & liver function, as well as the hematopoietic system must be monitored periodically. May interfere with ability to drive or operate machinery.
