description: Pyricin is a drug containing Colchicine which is used to prevent and treat gout attacks (symptoms of gout). Especially for gout symptoms that appear suddenly and cause intense pain that usually only involves one or a few toe, knee or ankle joints. The exact way this drug works is not yet known, but it is thought that this drug can disrupt the cycle of monosodium urate crystals in joint tissue and inhibit the inflammatory process that causes acute attacks of gout. Colchicine also works to inhibit the rate of formation of white blood cells around the inflamed area, thus breaking the cycle of inflammation and inhibiting the deposition of uric acid crystals. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
