description: Pletaal is a drug used for systemic therapy, specifically reducing the symptoms of intermittent claudication, namely symptoms of muscle pain that occur with light activity (pain, cramps, numbness or fatigue). Pletaal contains Cilostazol which works by inhibiting PDE which reduces cAMP degradation so that levels increase. Increasing cAMP can reduce platelet aggregation and cause vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and reduce vascular smooth muscle proliferation. Cilostazol can increase blood flow and the amount of oxygen flowing to the muscles. Pletaal can also be used to treat ischemic symptoms including ulceration, pain and coldness in chronic arterial occlusion. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
