description: Milorin 300 mg contains Clindamycin. Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic, which works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing peptide bond formation, ribosome assembly, and the translation process. This antibiotic is used for serious infections caused by anaerobic bacteria or gram-positive aerobic bacteria. Serious respiratory tract infections (emphyema, anaerobic pneumonitis, lung abscess), serious soft tissue and skin infections, septicemia, intra-abdominal infections (peritonitis, intra-abdominal abscess), gynecological infections (endometritis, post-vaginal surgical pelvic cellulitis, non-tuboovarian abscess -gonococcal, salpingitis, or pelvic inflammation when given together with antibiotics for gram-negative aerobic bacteria), cervicitis due to Chlamydia trachomatis, oral infections (periodontal abscess, periodontitis), therapy of toxoplasmic encephalitis in patients with AIDS (combination with pyrimethamine). Clindamycin may be an option for patients allergic to penicillin. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. Significant: Superinfection.

Common disorders and admin site conditions: Application site reactions (e.g. inflammation, irritation, burning sensation, soreness, dryness, oiliness), injection site reactions (e.g. pain, irritation, abscess, induration).
Hepatobiliary Disorders: Jaundice.
Immune system disorders: Urticaria.
Infections and infestations: Cervicitis, vaginal candidiasis, vaginitis.
Investigation: Abnormal LFT.
Nervous system disorders: Dysgeusia, headache, dizziness.
Renal and urinary disorders: Azotaemia, oliguria, proteinuria.
Reproductive system and breast disorders: Vulvovaginal irritation, vaginal moniliasis.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: maculopapular rash, pruritus, erythema, seborrhoea, contact dermatitis.
Vascular disorders: Hypotension (IV), thrombophlebitis (IV).
Potentially Fatal: Pseudomembranous colitis, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD), severe hypersensitivity reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reactions with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS); gasping syndrome (in neonates).
