description: MICROGEST is a drug that contains micronized progesterone. This drug is used for disorders associated with progesterone deficit. This drug is used as a uterine strengthening drug, to treat menstrual problems, bleeding, and to treat menopause symptoms. Progesterone is natural progesterone, which is the main hormone in the corpus luteum and placenta. Progesterone works on the endometrium by changing the proliferation period into a secretion period. This drug has the same ability as endogenous progesterone, namely inducing endometrial secretion completely and specifically causing gestagenic, antiestrogenic, mild antiandrogenic and antialdosterone effects. When using this medicine, you MUST ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. how_to_use: Oral use:
It is best given on an empty stomach. Swallow with a glass of water outside of meals. It is best given before bed

Insert each capsule deep into the vagina.

Side effects that may occur when using the drug are:
Menstrual disorders, premenstrual-like symptoms (including bloating, lack of fluids, breast tenderness), weight gain, nausea, headache, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, depression, skin reactions, (including urticaria, pruritus, redness and acne), hirsutism, alopecia.

Not intended for premature births. The use of progesterone in pregnancy beyond the first trimester can cause cholestasis gravidum. Progesterone is not recommended as a contraceptive. If unexplained, sudden or gradual, partial or total loss of vision, protopsis or diplopia, papilledema, retinal vascular lesions or migraine occur during therapy. The drug must be stopped immediately and diagnosis and therapeutic management carried out. This drug is given together with estrogen products for the purpose of hormone replacement therapy which can cause an increased risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism.
Be careful in conditions that can worsen fluid retention, for example epilepsy, hypertension, migraine, asthma, heart failure or kidney failure and patients who are prone to thromboembolism (special attention at high doses).
Be careful when given to patients with liver disorders (avoid if the condition is severe) and to patients who have a history of depression.
Progestogens may decrease glucose tolerance and should be monitored closely in diabetic patients.

Pregnancy Category:
Category B: May be used by pregnant women.
Research on animal tests does not show any risk to the fetus, but there is no direct research evidence on pregnant women.
The drug can be excreted through breast milk, consult medical personnel if you are breastfeeding.
