LORLAK is a drug containing lorlatinib which works by inhibiting a type of enzyme called tyrosine kinase and triggers the death of cancer cells in patients by causing changes in the gene for ALK. LORLAK is only given to patients whose disease is caused by changes in the gene for the tyrosine kinase ALK.

how_to_use: Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush, chew, or dissolve the tablet. You can take the tablets after meals or between meals, avoiding grapefruit and grape juice.

side_effects: Call your doctor immediately if you experience:
- change in heart rate (fast or slow), lightheadedness, fainting, dizziness, or shortness of breath.
- speech difficulties, including slurred or slow speech
- mood swings (including depression, excessive excitement, and mood swings
heart), feelings of irritability, aggressive actions, feelings of restlessness or annoyance, anxiety or
changes in your personality, memory loss or disturbance, and confusion.

Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION. Consult your doctor before taking LORLAK:
- if you have high blood cholesterol or triglyceride levels, high blood pressure, high blood sugar levels (eg diabetes), high blood levels of enzymes known as amylase or lipase or conditions such as pancreatitis which can increase the levels of these enzymes, kidney disorders, neurological disorders.
- if you have heart problems, including heart failure, weak heartbeat, or if electrocardiogram (EKG) results show that you have an abnormality in the heart's electrical activity known as prolonged PR interval or AV block.
- if you have a cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, or symptoms of respiratory weakness or have had a lung condition called pneumonitis.
- if you suffer from liver disorders.
