description: Lodoz contains a combination of the active substances Bisoprolol Fumarate 5 mg, namely a Beta Blocker drug and Hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg as a thiazide diuretic. Bisoprolol Fumarate is a beta blocker which works by blocking the response to beta adrenergic stimulation and has activity as a selective (cardioselective) beta1 receptor antagonist at low doses. Hydrochlorothiazide works by increasing urine production and then relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows easily. Lodoz is a drug used to reduce blood pressure in hypertension sufferers and reduce the frequency of heartbeats and pressure on the heart muscle, thereby reducing the burden on the heart.
