how_to_use: Before, during or after breakfast.
side_effects: Occasionally: fatigue, depression, dizziness, headache, asthenia, cold sensation in extremities, bradycardia, insomnia, nightmares, GI disorders, muscle & joint pain, sweating. Rare: decreased AV conduction or intensification of existing AV block, exacerbation of heart failure, sudden decrease in BP, bronchospasm, worsening of existing intermittent claudication, paresthesia, various skin conditions including psoriasis, abnormal lacrimation, hypersensitivity, anaphylactic reactions, electrolyte balance disorders, hematological disorders (very rare).
Warning: MUST BE WITH A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION.
Sudden discontinuation of therapy in systemic heart disease, 1st degree AV block, history of chronic obstructive bronchopathy, family history of asthma. Increased air resistance (discontinue therapy). Can mask signs of hypoglycemia in DM. Peripheral vascular disease. Predisposition to gout or hyperuricemia. Elderly patients receiving digitalis treatment, on a low K diet or with GI anomalies; use of volatile anesthetics in surgery. Pregnant.
