description: LEVEMIR FLEXPEN is a preparation containing Insulin Detemir which is included in the long-acting analogue insulin group and works for up to 24 hours. This insulin is used to treat diabetes mellitus in adults, adolescents and children aged 2 years and above. Levemir can be given alone or in combination with bolus insulin and with other oral antidiabetic drugs. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. how_to_use: Inject before or after meals.

Side effects that may occur when using the drug are:

- As a result of hypoglycemia, the patient's ability to drive or operate machinery may be impaired.
- Cases of congestive heart failure have been reported when thiazolidinediones were used in combination with insulin. Thiazolidinediones should be discontinued if symptoms of decreased cardiac function occur.
- Transferring to another type or brand of insulin must be done under medical supervision or a doctor.

Before using for the first time:
Store in the refrigerator (2C - 8C).
Do not freeze or place next to frozen storage compartment.
Store the pen in the outer cardboard packaging to protect from light.

After opening and using:
The pen can be stored for up to 28 days under room temperature (25C).
Do not return the pen to the refrigerator and do not freeze it.
Do not store the pen with the needle attached.
Keep away from direct light heat. Always put the pen cover on when you are not using it to protect from light.
