description: KANDISTATIN DROPS is an anti-fungal drug containing nystatin to treat candidiasis in the oral cavity. Nystatin can be fungistatic and fungicidal against several types of fungi such as Candida albicans, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, C. guilermondi, C. pseudotropicalis, C. krusei. Nystatin works by binding to sterols in fungal cell membranes that are sensitive to this drug, resulting in changes in membrane permeability and leakage of intracellular components which causes the death of the fungus. When using this medicine, you MUST ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. how_to_use: Before or after eating, shake/gargle and hold in mouth as long as possible before swallowing

side_effects: In general, nystatin can be tolerated by all ages, including newborns, even if given over a long period of time. Administration of high doses can cause diarrhea, indigestion, nausea and vomiting. Redness including urticaria has been reported in rare cases of Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
