description: FORXIGA is an antidiabetic drug containing Dapagliflozin which is included in the SGLT-2 inhibitor group. This drug is used to help control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who cannot be resolved with diet and exercise. Dapagliflozin works by inhibiting the reabsorption of glucose in the distal tubules of the kidney by inhibiting the performance of the SGLT-2 glucose transporter.
