description: CLINDAMYCIN is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thus preventing the formation of peptide bonds, ribosome assembly and the translation process. This antibiotic is used for infections caused by susceptible organisms such as Strep, Penumococci & Staph in the respiratory tract including emphysema, anaerobic pneumonitis & lung abscess, skin & soft tissue, septicemia, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections including endometritis, pelvic cellulitis, post-operative infections, bone & joint infections. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
