This drug is used for inflammation and itching in dermatoses that can be treated with corticosteroids. Gentamicin sulfate and fluocinolone acetonide are corticosteroids which have anti-inflammatory effects. Corticosteroids reduce inflammation by stabilizing the lysosomal membrane of leukocytes, preventing the release of destructive acid and leukocyte hydrolysis, inhibiting the accumulation of macrophages in inflamed areas, reducing leukocyte adhesion to capillary endothelium, reducing capillary wall permeability and edema formation, reducing complement components, antagonizing histamine activity, the release of quinine from the substrate, reduces fibroblast proliferation, collagen deposition, and scar tissue formation. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
