description: CENDO NONCORT is a sterile eye drop containing diclofenac sodium which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Diclofenac sodium works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme which is an important part of prostaglandin biosynthesis. Prostaglandins are mediators in intraocular inflammation which can cause disruption of the Aqueous Humor blood barrier, vasodilation, and an increase in intraocular pressure. Prostaglandins may also play a role in the miotic response during ocular surgery. By inhibiting the action of the cyclooxygenase enzyme, less prostaglandin is produced so that pain and inflammation will subside. When using this medicine, you MUST ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
