Cellcept is a drug containing Mycophenolate mofetil which is included in the immunosuppressant group. This drug is used to prevent the body from rejecting transplanted organs and to improve the survival of organs and patients receiving allogeneic heart transplants. This drug must be used together with cyclosporine and corticosteroid drugs. Mycophenolate mofetil works by reversibly inhibiting potent, selective, and non-competitive inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), and thereby inhibiting the de novo pathway of guanosine nucleotide synthesis without combining with DNA. When using this medication, you must ACCORD TO THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS.
